Well said, Big D. Cox was a most gracious recipient for her place on the All-District team even minus the POY title after yet another amazing performance behind the three-pt. line. I am very proud of her and the rest of the Lady Buffs– any of whom could easily start for any team in our district– for being such a class act. Kudos to the girls not only for kicking butt on the court, but for so obviously caring more about team’s ultimate goal than the political “titles” the district chose. Can’t wait to cheer you on Wednesday, Lady Buffs!

You have to admit it was pretty humorous to see the Glenvar coach coming out to get the “Coach of the Year” award after getting beaten by Floyd for the third time. It must have been tough to get your butt beat by 40 points and then have to accept an award everyone knew was a joke.
I do feel for Krista…she was undoubtably the POY but politics and “stats” are used to deny the most deserving player. Hopefully she will make some noise in the region and state and get the recognition she deserves.
Thanks for the coverage Doug….we all appreciate it.

This is what the proponents of the ordinance have been saying all along. It appeared to me the majority of the 47 understood the difference between the myths and reality. Why is the BOS dragging it out?

You post this slowing down stuff about once every quarter….what you should do is slow down in the winter months and speed up in the summer….when you going to figure that out?

I wish no harm or ill on Elmer but to resort to violence won’t solve anything. There is nothing “cute” or “homey” about threatening someone else. I’m hoping he is a nice man who would give you the shirt off his back if you need it, but he is scary to me.
