Too young, too soon
For the second time in 10 days, a young life has been lost in our area.
Young Kassidy Foster, a 12 year old want to be a gymnist before bone cancer took her leg, lost her battle with that disase Monday.
She recently returned from Los Angeles, a visit courtesy of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Kassidy joins Chance Harman, who died July 6, and Joshua Cantrell (Feb. 12): Two young boys who died from a rare form of cancer. The stories on all three can be found at samefight.org. When three so young die one is left with an empty feeling and an enternal question:
Why?
Why?
I’ll go out on a limb and say that Heaven is a whole lot better than this place. We shouldn’t cling so tightly to a world that will pass from us. It is tragic to us that she died so young but we must all face that reality. Those who believe in Heaven face it in a different way. Kassidy will never face pain again. From this point forward, it is nothing but joy for her. We are left to grieve her death. We will grieve but our grief will one day turn to joy (Jn 16:20)
We must all face the reality of death. It is unavoidable. But it doesn’t have to be the end.
