Open house for Floyd’s new hotel
Jack Wall showed off his new Hotel Floyd to the public Sunday with a reception and tour of the facility’s "themed" rooms, like the Floyd County Store room (above) which features musical instruments, special furniture and photos of the Friday Night Jamboree.
The new hotel was booked solid this weekend and Wall kicked off the opening with food and drink for a large crowd of invited guests (below).
I’m really sorry to have missed this event, as I had been drooling at the opportunity to see the rooms ever since I heard about them. I don’t recall seeing the event advertised. Did I miss it or was there no press on its date?

This hotel event wasn’t really a grand opening. It was a “thank you” to room sponsors, decorators, supporters and friends.
Hopefully the hotel will have a true grand opening so everyone can ooooo and aahhh over the beautiful work they have done.
