Hey Doug,
Thanks for coming out and snapping these shots of our first pickin’ session. These sessions will occur one Saturday each month through the summer and are open to the public. My hope is they will develop into a Pro-Am jam w/ experienced players assisting and informally teaching newer players as they try to apply what they learn from me and other area teachers. Folks can email me directly for information about the next session or visit http://www.thepickinporch.com.
The students who attended were: Taylor Bolte, Elijah Wheaton and Dillon White. Elijah’s dad, Ken, and Pickin’ Porch family member Temple Garrison sat in too for a set of blues, jazz, rock, old time fiddle tunes and honky tonk. Dillon’s dad, Jim and Taylor’s grandparents, Jim and Carrie Casteel enjoyed watching this two hour session! I hope more will come next time.
