When the heat gets to you
Got overheated Saturday. Overheated big time. Too much time in the sun, too much dehydration from sweating, not enough liquids to replenish the body.
Heavy duty muscle cramps most of the night. Legs, arms, ankles, even hands. Continued even after downing several bottles of water and eating bananas.
Spent Sunday recovering, mostly sleeping, drinking lots more water, flushing out system.
Better now? God I hope so. Getting old is a bitch.
Coal
Thought your readers might want to know the Virginia permit issued June 25 for Dominion's proposed $1.8 billion Wise County coal-fired plant bucked a trend in other states including Florida, Kansas and Texas to stop building such plants. The company plans to begin construction this week and this morning police stopped a blockage of the corporate offices from protesters who said that the plant would emit too much mercury and carbon dioxide into the air, promote strip mining for coal in Southwest Virginia and cost consumers too much for electricity. They also oppose Dominion's announced plans to consider an additional nuclear reactor at its North Anna plant in Louisa County.. See:

Get yourself a Camelbak
Camelbak hydration packs let you carry several liters of water on your back and help to prevent dehydration. It may feel dumb for a while but I was surprised by how much more energy I have (at 57) when I can keep hydrated.
