I don’t usually attend all the football games because of my health (it is difficult for me to sit in the cold) HOWEVER, I did attend the state game and was so proud of our boys and how they carried themselves. They handled the taunting from gretna with great pride and did not retaliate. HOWEVER, I was sitting behind many of the parents of Floyd County anhd was thoroughly disgusted with the way they taunted many of the boys on the Gretna team. Is it wrong for them to be good players??? Why is taunting necessary. And these were grown adults taunting (and calling out their numbers)…I’m sure this only accelerated the taunting from them during and after the game… I just hope that these parents of Floyd GROW UP and represent!!!!!

floyd played their hearts out for this game. It meant the world to most of the players. With some of the seniors getting to play in the state game after having been undefeated for an entire season, this was their last chance to shine. Their last chance to make a big start for their career. it simply slipped through their fingers. they were devistated. All the seniors have gone on to play college ball.
