The weather forecasters predicted a rainy Sunday as 2013 draws closer and closer to an end and, for a change, they weren’t wrong.
The National Weather Service says more than an inch of rain has fallen since midnight and is expected to continue through the day before tapering off tonight.
Monday is forecast as partly cloudy with highs in the low 40s before dipping below freezing into the 20s overnight.
Pretty much the same forecast for New Year’s Eve and a little warmer on the first day of 2014. Then rain again Thursday and the possibility of snow on Friday, January 3.
