New traditions mixed with old on the stage of The Floyd Country Store for the Friday Night Jamboree on this Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Jamboree mainstay Clyde Williams and his band closed out the evening with the mixture of traditional music that his fans appreciate and enjoy while the Black Twig Pickers opened the dance sets with their arrangements of the music that helps define the Jamboree.

It is a tradition that spans generation and brings the young and not-so-young together, even on a freezing Friday night in November.
