It wasn’t even close.  The Lady Buffaloes led from the start and ended the first quarter at 32-2, then 54-13 at the half and 96-37 at the final buzzer, defeating Giles County at home Wednesday night before a packed house.

Hannah Belshan led scoring with 16 points, followed closely by Elizabeth Quesenberry with 15 and Carley Lytton and Emily Boothe at 13 each.

The Lady Buffs also dominated in three-point goals, adding 14 them.  The team heads into the final two weeks of regular season competition with a 7-0 district record and 14-3 overall with conference playoffs looming later this month.

And, yes, the Junior Varsity won as well, 62-16.  More photos and Roger Mannon’s story in the next week’s Floyd Press.
