Athletic tournaments featuring Floyd County High School students, music, art and more clutter the weekend for the calendar.

The Virginia High School League State Track Meet starts at 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon and runs through early Saturday evening at the athletic complex at Radford University.  Floyd County track stars will run, jump and throw for positions in the various events that feature contestants from around the Old Dominion.

On Saturday, the Floyd Farmers Market at the Community Pavilion at 205 South Locust Street has breakfast and sustainable market products starting at 9:00 a.m. and runs through 1:00 p.m.

Market of the Mountain runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Moon at 227 North Locust Street.

Mary Brown offers Jivamukti Yoga at The Village Green at 201 East Main Street, Suite 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Foggy Ridge Cider hosts its Chef Series from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 1323 Pineview Rd. near Dugspur.

For music, check out Americana Afternoon at The Floyd Country Store, which starts with Terry Dollar and Randolph Walker’s mixture of folk, rock, country, show tunes and more at noon, followed by Mason Via and Friends serving up Funky Folk and other offerings at 1:15 p.m.

Southern Gospel featuring Jason Crabb, The Isaacs, John Bowman and Tony & Heather Mabe hits the stage at Chantilly Farm at 2697 Franklin Pike from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Wildwood Farms General Store features Tower Street Band at 7:00 p.m.

Dogtown Roadhouse has The Morgan Wade Band at 8:00 p.m.

Sunday starts off with Chateau Morrisette’s First Sunday Jazz Series at 1:00 p.m. at 287 Winery Road, SW, at milepost 171 just off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Sunday music jams start with double events at The Floyd Country Store (1:30 p.m. for Old Time Music and 4:00 p.m. for Bluegrass) and at Wildwood Farms General Store at 2:00 p.m.

The Killjoys Jr. Roller Derby Movie Launch Party runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at June Bug Center.

Dogtown hosts Open Mic Night at 7:00 p.m.
