Floyd County High School’s varsity and junior varsity basketball teams faced a tough and physical William Fleming at home Tuesday night but, after games where the lead switched back and forth, the Lady Buffaloes won both matches.

In the varsity match up, Ragan Wiseman and Ashley Gallimore scored 50 points in a game where Fleming led by one point with a minute to go but Wiseman put on a 6 for 9 show at the foul line with to put the game away for the Lady Buffs 74-68.

Wiseman led scoring with 30 points for the night with Gallimore adding 20.

Fleming’s 26 fouls helped Floyd add to the score from the foul line.

In the JV game, fouls from the Fleming Colonels left only three of the team’s players in the game and Floyd pulled away for a 44-30 at the end.
