Floyd County Lady Buffaloes’ leading scorer Ragan Wiseman: Recovering from an ankle sprain.

No need Saturday morning to head out for for a long drive to UVa-Wise for a noon Regional basketball game between Floyd County and Chatham.

The game is now at 1 p,m. at Franklin County High School in Rocky Mount, which is more convenient to both teams and their fans.

The school is at 700 Tanyard Road (Rte. 40) just west of the intersection of U.S. 220.

Question remains on the game availability of Floyd’s leading scorer Ragan Wiseman, who was knocked out with 11 minutes plus in of regional semi-final game at Wise Wednesday night with a seriously-sprained ankle.  The Lady Buffs team lost the game 64-53.

The outcome of the game Sunday determines rankings for the state 2A/West Basketball Tournament which starts in Salem next week.  Winners there go to the state semi-finals and final in Richmond.

Go Buffaloes!
