The annual benefit concert for Station 1 of The Floyd County Fire Department is called “Ignite” and features Roanoke’s Work band with its mix of rock and country and a local connection.

Rain that moved through the area about three hours before the concert’s start and cooler than expected temperatures for the middle of May didn’t dampen or chill the enthusiasm of the crowd in Lineberry Park on Locust Street Saturday as young and old flocked to the park and had fun.

More photos in the next edition of The Floyd Press.
