Rain went elsewhere; Chantilly shines

Rain drenched parts of the area Friday afternoon and evening but not so at the first day of the 6th Annual Chantilly Farms Bluegrass and BBQ Festival at the site on Franklin Road in Floyd County.

It may have drizzled a few times but the moisture did not dampen the enthusiasm of those who gathered to see and hear Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, Volume Five, Russel Moore & Tyme Out and other groups who played on the expanded stage.

The festival goes into its second and final day Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. with Gravel Road, followed by The Wildmans and a mixture of local and nationally-known talent that includes Doyle Lawson, Sisk again and the Lonesome River Band with Sammy Shelor.

Lots of food, lots of vendors and friends to see.

See you there.
