The Presidential ambitions of Donald J. Trump fell into a dumpster Friday after The Washington Post revealed a seven-year-old videotape that shows Trump bragging about his pursuit of a married woman and using vulgar language about his attempts to engage in sex with her and his routine pursuit of women who he said are just waiting for a celebrity like him to nail them.
Reaction to Trump’s admitted “locker room” banter hit the campaign like a tsunami. A Republican congressman and committee chairman called on Trump to withdraw from the race and other ran like hell to distance themselves from him.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan told Trump to stay away from a joint appearance planned in Wisconsin Saturday.
“When you’re a star they let you do it,” Trump says. “You can do anything. Grab them by the p—-. You can do anything.”
Trump used the vulgar four-letter work to describe sexual activity, another vulgar reference to a woman’s vagina other terms that brought calls of “tasteless,” and “disgusting” and “sickening” and “wholly inappropriate.”
In the tape, Trump is caught on a live microphone while talking with Billy Bush of “Access Hollywood.” The candidate is heard saying “I did try and f— her. She was married.” He also uses graphic terms to describe the woman’s body and says he frequently tries to kiss beautiful women.
The unearthed video is just the latest revelation about Trump’s misogynistic treatment of women. Interviews with women who worked on “The Apprentice” with Trump revealed he told them to wear shorter dressis that also display more cleavage and taked openly about having sex with them.
In his years as a reality TV boss on “The Apprentice,” Donald Trump repeatedly demeaned women with sexist language, according to show insiders who said he rated female contestants by the size of their breasts and talked about which ones he’d like to have sex with.
Eight former crew members recalled that he repeatedly made lewd comments about a camerawoman he said had a nice rear, comparing her beauty to that of his daughter, Ivanka.
During one season, Trump called for female contestants to wear shorter dresses that also showed more cleavage, according to contestant Gene Folkes. Several cast members said Trump had one female contestant twirl before him so he could ogle her figure.
Randal Pinkett, who won the program in December 2005 and who has recently criticized Trump during his run for president, said he remembered the real estate mogul talking about which female contestants he wanted to sleep with, even though Trump had married former model Melania Knauss earlier that year: “He was like ‘Isn’t she hot, check her out,’ kind of gawking, something to the effect of ‘I’d like to hit that.’ “
Trump, as usual, denied the earlier report, claiming all the comments were fabrications by celebrity wannabes. Then came the videotape and his issued a short “apology” at midnight but watered it down with attacks on his opponents.
Trump has a long history of obsession with sex, women and dirty words.
He tried to force his second wife, Marla Maples, to pose fully nude for Playboy magazine. After she refused, he divorced her. His marriage to her came after his first marriage ended amid his rash of extra-marital affairs. He later admitted cheating on Maples.
Trump appeared in a soft-core porn video produced by Playboy. He appeared often on shock jock Howard Stern’s satellite radio show and bragged about his sexual exploits.
Reported The Washington Post in May of this year:
Over 15 years, radio shock jock Howard Stern and his buddy Donald Trump periodically carried on like towel-snapping “bros” in a locker room, rating women’s tops and bottoms, debating whether oral sex is “important,” and egging each other on about whether they would like to go to bed with famous women from Cindy Crawford to Diane Sawyer.
“You could’ve gotten her, right?” Stern asked Trump on-air shortly after Princess Diana’s death in 1997. “You could’ve nailed her.”
“I think I could have,” Trump said.
How about singer Mariah Carey? “Would you bang her?” Stern asked. Trump replied, “I would do it without hesitation.”
Trump’s crude talk on-air with Stern between 1990 and 2005 was part of an image the businessman cultivated as a Manhattan playboy who had so many women that he barely had time to sleep.
Has he cleaned up his act? Nope. He routinely sprinkles his conversations now with sexual innuendos and vulgarity. He has said “f–k” in campaign appearances several times in this campaign. He joked about thinking his daughter is “so hot” that he would like to date her.
