Good crowd, long night, tough loss

Carroll County’s Cavaliers put Floyd County’s Buffaloes down 42-33 Tuesday night at the FCHS gym.

The game, interrupted by attempts to fix a slick spot on the basketball court, closed out the first half close with the Cavs leading 17-33 but Carroll County outscored Floyd 14-5  in the third quarter and 11-5 in the final period to put the game away.

Dustin Thompson lead FCHS scoring with nine point but the Buffaloes only scored 16 percent of their shots.

The JV game was closer with the Buffs closing to within three points in the final quarter but the Cavs pulled away a little in end and took a win.
