The high school sports season is upon us, a busy time not only for the young student athletes but also for aging photoraphers who have to try and capture them at their best.

A recent video of Floyd County High School girls' varsity volleyball, set to the music of The Hollies' Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress. Originally shot and edited for The Floyd Press.

The Labor Day weekend means the annual Carroll County Gun Show & Flea Market is upon us along with yard sales on top of yard sales throughout the region.

Shot this video of young Floyd bluesman Atticus Stovall performing at Cafe del Sol some time ago and thought I had uploaded it previously.  Enjoy the music.

The summer music season opened at Zion Lutheran Church's Oak Grove Pavillion Saturday night with the music of Bernie Coveney (above), Chris Luster, Mike Mitchell, Abe Gorski and Martin Scudder.

They played many new and old favorites, including a rousing rendition of Pistol Packing Mama (click the play button on the video to see and hear). I'm working on other videos from the evening and will post them when completed.
