Let me be the first to welcome you to Blue Ridge Muse, a news and information resource for Floyd County, Virginia, nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge.

This is, among other things, a yet another Blog for myself. I grew up in the county, graduated from Floyd County High School and returned after 40 years on the road as a photojournalist (and a sabbatical to the Dark Side, otherwise known as politics).

My wife and I recently opened Blue Ridge Creative, a photography, video and graphics studio in The Jacksonville Center on Virginia Route 8 South, just outside of Floyd. Please bear with us as we get the site up and running. I’m currently stuck in a snow and ice storm in Belleville, Illinois.
