Tractors rumbled through Floyd while crowds thronged on the street last Friday for the Jamboree and other festivities.

No, it wasn’t a tractor parade — although we do have at least one cavalcade of such machines at least once a year. These were working farm vehicles on their way from one field to another — a reminder that when you get down to it, this is still a rural area with strong agriculture roots.
