Elizabeth LaPrelle: ‘Cora is Gone’

One of the best things about filming the Floyd Radio Show each month is the chance to hear co-host Elizabeth LaPrelle sing.  The lady has the voice for traditional mountain songs, be it a Carter-family classic or a O. McLeod’s traditional Scottish ballad “Cora is Gone,” which became a staple of Lester Flat and Earl Scruggs.

Filmed during the February broadcast of the show from The Floyd Country Store. Stuart Scales, a radio show regular, accompanies LaPrelle on Guitar.
