A state championship and a record

Floyd County High School's Jessica Hollandsworth (above) finished the Virginia High School League state golf tournament in style Tuesday, driving the 18th green from the tee and two-putting for a birdie put to help the team to a record store of 290 -- one better than the previous low score.

Hollandsworth finished the day two-under par with a two-day score of 138 -- the tournament leader -- as FCHS captured their second straight state golf tournament.

Michael Wade (below) struggled on Monday but finished out Tuesday with a four under par 68 for a two-day score of 145.
