In today’s “didn’t-anyone-check-for-conflicts” department we have FloydFest and Oldtime Fiddler’s Convention in Galax.
One (Oldtime Fiddler’s) is a long-standing tradition in the hills of Southwestern Virginia and the other (FloydFest) is an up-and-comer.
If you plan to go to both, you’re going to be busy and in two places at once. The Fiddler’s Convention runs from August 9-14 and FloydFest from August 13-15. Yep. Two days overlap.
We realize scheduling is a tricky business when lots of musical acts are involved but it’s a long summer with many weekends.
