City Magazine, the glossy, ad-supported free magazine, claims to be the ‘definitive’ source for information on dining, entertainment and arts in the area.

But it isn’t.

If you look at the dining listings under ‘Floyd,” the first listing is Cafe del Sol, the coffee house that closed two years ago.  Harvest Moon is listed as a restaurant. Natasha’s Market Place Cafe has been the restaurant at that location for more than a year.

We pointed out the fact that Cafe del Sol was closed to the editors at City Magazine two years ago. They promised to fix it.

They didn’t.

Makes us wonder how many other listings in the ‘definitive’ source are out of date or just plain wrong.
