Hoped to videotape FloydFest this year and produce a documentary like the one we did last year on The Friday Night Jamboree but schedule conflicts with the Oldtime Fiddler's Convention in Galas and some last-minute snags with event organizers screwed the deal. Whoever said life in the country is simple and carefree hasn't been out here in the sticks lately. Events scheduled on top of events, concerns about rights and ownership and the problem of obligations all get in the way of what is supposed to be a more relaxed lifestyle. Maybe next year.
