Temperature in the teens this morning. Forecast calls for a "wintry mix" for Thursday.

Guess it's winter.

As with most weather forecasts in these days of too much technology and too little meteorology, the prognosis is vague at best. We might get ice, we might not. It might be freezing rain or it might be sleet or it just might be rain.

Perhaps we could get better weather forecasts if the talking heads who call themselves weather men (and women) stopped looking at radar screens and started looking out the window.
