The winds have died down but the power outages continue to increase.
APCO reports at 2 p.m. that 2,999 customers in Floyd County are powerless — and increase over the 11 a.m. figure of 2,840. Then APCO revised the figure again 20 minutes later — to 4,001.
Part of the increase comes from new reports of outages that have come into the utility and part comes from ice covered limbs that continue to fall on lines.
Some who regained power this morning report that they are without electricity again.
The crisis continues.
