Attended the Friday Night Jamboree tonight for the first time since my extended stay in the hospital for my encounter with a cow that should have been in the farm field and not on U.S. 221 on a November evening.
Part of the reason was to take pictures but the primary goal was to thank the musicians and jamboree participants for their many wishes for a recovery and prayers to live during the ordeal.
David Wood (right) the former manager of the Floyd County Store, passed on my thanks and eternal gratitude for the prayers and good wishes just before Down Home Gospel (above) kicked off the evening.
The Jamboree has been a major part of the Floyd scene and a big part of my life since returning to the area in 2004. My deepest thanks to everyone there for their compassion.
It meant a lot.
