
The season ended Wednesday night at James River High School for the Floyd County High School varsity baseball team as the Buffaloes fell to Grayson County.
Still, the team had a good season with a collection of exciting wins, often in the closing innings. The team won the district outright during the regular season and took the opening game of the regional playoffs with a come-from-behind grand slam home run in the bottom the seventh at home earlier this week.
The Lady Buffs softball team works to keep their season alive Thursday night with a game against Grayson County in Independence.
