Some 19,000 Appalachian Company customers remain without power at 6 p.m. today and the company is saying it will be late Monday night, at the earliest, before the bulk of electricity is restored in the region.

Roanoke city and county remain the hardest hit, with more than 11,000 still in the dark, followed by Franklin County with 4,500 and Bedford County with 1,900.
