The memory of Tom Ryan will abound Saturday at the Fifth Annual Floyd DysFUNctional Family Picnic at Pine Tavern on U.S. 221 north of town.

The Pine and Republic of Floyd say “Tom would appreciate the Picnic going forward without him” this year and his memory will be honored by those who gather to hear Sound Wave plus Tell Jenny and Scott Fore — all friends of Ryan, who passed away from a heart attack in January of this year.

Gates to the Pine Pavilion open at 6:00 p.m. and the music starts at 7.  Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door and can be purchased at the Republic of Floyd on Locust Street or at the Pine.

Wear a Hawaiian shirt and get a buck off the ticket price.  Tom would be proud.
