Some area musicians performed at the Floyd Country Store Sunday night for a concert/fundraiser for Michael Abraham, the Christiansburg author and businessman running for delegate against incumbent Nick Rush.
Keri and Michael Kovic kicked off the music. On a personal note, Abraham noted from the stage that Michael came to my hospital room last November to play his mandolin along with guitarist Bernie Coveney during my recovery from a serious motorcycle accident. Keri dedicated a s0ng (“The Lucky One”) to me at a concert at Oak Grove this year. I can never thank either of them enough.
No Strings Attached performed for the second half of the evening, following a short speech from Abraham.
