Harvey Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep makes the cut

Floyd's last remaining new car dealership -- Harley Chrylser-Dodge-Jeep -- did not get the axe this week when the struggling auto company released its list of 897 dealers whose contracts would not be renewed during bankruptcy reorganization.

Duncan Jeep in Christiansburg is among area dealerships that made the list along with Nelson Dodge in Martinsville, but Harvey, new owners of the old Turman-Yeatts dealership on Rte. 8 just south of town, survived.

Harvey has upgraded the facilities, remodeling the building and parving the parking lot, since taking over and it's good to see the dealership will survive.

Our congratulations to Harvey for making the cut.
