After freezing rain, then a day of mostly rain, snow moved into the area Wednesday with a slight coating and some slick roads.
With a temperature at noon around 28 and brisk wind, venturing out was chilly.
The weather forecasters tell us Thanksgiving Day will be sunny and and a little warmer with temperatures in the upper 30s after a low Wednesday night of about 17. Then a little warmer on Friday with lows still below freezing in the 20s.
Next week, however, shows the thermometer climbing into the mid to upper 40s and hitting 50 by Thursday.
