After trailing the Christiansburg Blue Demons for most of the game, the Floyd County High School Buffaloes boys’ varsity basketball team tied the game with a three pointer by Justin Cundiff with six seconds left on the clock Wednesday night and went on to win in overtime 103-90 — giving both the boys and girls teams victories int the home opener.

Caleb Tanner scored 59 points in the win.  His total included 33 of 33 from the free throw line — a new state record.  Cundiff put up 17 points and Preston Neukirch had 10.

Both teams won with six digits as the girls took the home opener 110-26.
