
Floyd County High School’s Caleb Tanner continued his high-scoring ways Friday night with a second-straight 59 point performance as the Buffaloes downed the Pulaski County Cougars 94-87 in the school’s basketball homecoming game.
The boys fell behind early, then rallied to take the lead in the second quarter and ended the half tied 43-all with Pulaski. Tanner also reached 2,000 scoring points in his high school career during the game.
Preston Neukirch added 15 points as the Buffaloes start the season 2-0.
In the opener, the Lady Buffs cruised to 86-48 win over Pulaski and player Amanda Hollandsworth topped off the night with selection as the school’s basketball homecoming queen.
