High winds and frigid weather left a number of Citizens Telephone Internet customers without ADSL service Friday morning as more than a few needed to have their modems reprogrammed after something that happened on the lines wiped out stored login and password information overnight.
A service tech was standing by in the Citizens lobby when we brought our DSL modem in and they expected more customers with problems as the morning progressed.
Apparently, some kind of surged on the lines caused problems with the modem.
