Doom and gloom permeates the Thompson household this morning. Doom and gloom hell. Just call it outright despair after the St. Louis Cardinals found themselves swept right out of the World Series, losing four straight games.

I’m not sure who those guys were in the Redbird uniforms. They sure weren’t the Cardinals that compiled the best record in baseball during the World Series. The imposters who claimed to the Cards didn’t lead a single time during any of the four humiliating games of the Fall Classic.

Amy, born and raised in the St. Lous area, put her red sporting gear away last night. For the next few days, she will be wearing black.
