Floyd County High School’s Lady Buffaloes went into Friday night’s game against Eastern Montgomery as the preemptive favorite with a 9-0 record and facing a school that is 3 and 7.
Coaches Alan and Travis Cantrell used starers sparingly and didn’t employ Floyd’s legenday full-court press against the EastMont Mustangs.
The end result? A 113-20 victory for the Buffaloes. Floyd’s score could have been lower but a multitude of fouls by the Mustangs against Floyd added even more points from the free-throw line.
The Lady Buffs now stand at 10-0 and 2-0 in district play. They face Pulaski County Saturday, Liberty next Tuesday and Auburn Wednesday in a flurry of away games before returning home against Giles on Friday.

I guess they didn’t need to stare them down too much when they won so easily.
