In this season of ever-changing weather forecasts, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch to the region for Tuesday and Floyd County lies on the southern edge of a prediction that could bring 3-6 inches of snow to the area.
The key word, as always, is “could” and it all depends on when — and if — the snow arrives.
This from Kevin Myatt, the weather guru of The Roanoke Times:
There is also a chance this comes together a bit late and does more of its snowing over northern and eastern Virginia rather than our part of the state.
In other words: Could happen here, could happen somewhere else, could not happen.
