Floyd County High School’s Buffaloes fended off a determined Glenvar Highlanders team at home Monday night to come away with a 70-61 win, extending their record to 12-3.

A 29-point effort effort by Glenvar junior Jeremy Williams brought his team back from a 16-point deficit in the second half and put the Highlanders close but a crucial rebound and then a three-pointer from Justin Cundiff helped the Buffaloes seal the win.

Caleb Tanner lead Buffalo scoring with 31 points while Cundiff and and Will Cook added 15 each.  Floyd had eight three-point goals — four from Tanner, three from Cundiff and one from Preston Neukirch, who had eight points for the night.

  1. A little closer than we wanted but as Preston says, “We got the W.” Thanks for coming out on a cold night, Doug…
