The Lady Buffaloes varsity softball team avenged an earlier season loss to the Christiansbug Blue Demons with an extra-inning 1-0 win in the bottom of the eighth Thursday evening at Floyd County High School.

Kristin Mills scored the winning run by leading off the bottom of the eighth with a single, stealing second, advancing to third and then cruising home on a a hit by Amanda Whitlow.

Ashley Gallimore threw a no-hitter, striking out 10, as the Buffaloes now even their season at 2-2.
