April lives up to its soggy traditions today with a day-long glut of sometimes heavy, sogging rain throughout Monday.

Without a 100 percent chance of rain through the day and 70 percent Monday night, the theme of April showers arrives full time just seven days into the month.

With a 10 percent chance of showers on Tuesday and 30 percent Wednesday, outlook for the week is wet but the temperatures will remain Spring-like with highs in the 50s and 60s throughout the week before climbing to 70 with only a slight chance of the wet stuff by Friday.

The warm temperatures the following week, the outlook for the first half of April is Spring without any talk or threats of winter — yet.

In the deep south, forecasts call for more active weather with a chance of heavy thunderstorms and tornadoes.
