The flood watch is over for the area, the sun reappeared Wednesday afternoon and a return to dry weather is forecast for the next few days, although a 30 percent chance exists for some showers overnight.

The outlook is partly cloudy and sunny as May begins with temperatures in the 60s for the remainder of the week and reaching 76 Sunday.

All in all, a good outlook for the arrival of a new month.

The current longer-range outlook for next week shows a chance of thunderstorms on Monday and then clear for the following days with temperatures in the 70s and closing in on 80 by week’s end.
