With Memorial Day just over a week away, the Spring and Summer crowds began descending on Floyd Friday night for the Jamboree.

Cooler than normal weather kept street activity to a minimum but dancers and bluegrass music fans jammed into the Country Store to hear Katie and the Bubbatones in their final concert before the usual break for the summer.

The Tune Town Old String Band, with dual fiddlers, closed out the night and an overflow crowd also packed the Floyd Barber Shop as the usual collection of talented musicians jammed through the night.

The season has arrived.
