Lotsa advice

We've had a lot of advice on what to do about the huge yard at our new home. Advice like "get a goat" to "let it return to nature" to "hire somebody else to mow it." The yard, you see, took the old owners about three hours to mow on a riding mower with a 42-inch blade. That doesn't include edging and trimming.

We’ve had a lot of advice on what to do about the huge yard at our new home.

Advice like “get a goat” to “let it return to nature” to “hire somebody else to mow it.” The yard, you see, took the old owners about three hours to mow on a riding mower with a 42-inch blade. That doesn’t include edging and trimming.

Checked out lawn tractors the other night. Lots of choices. Will probably get a John Deere (nothing runs like a Deere) but I have two questions: When did they start putting cruise control on riding lawn mowers? And why on earth would you need it?
