After six days of rain — including hard driving thunderstorms on Tuesday — the weather pendulum now swings the other way for a while.

And it will remain cooler than normal as we spend the next three days with highs in the 70s and the lower 80s for days following.

Another odd pattern of weather in a season where odd is normal.

School is back in place in Floyd County, music will be on the streets Thursday and Friday nights, the Auto Fair arrives at Chantilly Farm for three days starting Friday and the high school sports season starts in a couple of weeks.
