Music all around town this weekend

Music, music and more music for the weekend in Floyd County.

At the Friday Night Jamboree, Sue Nester & Friends kick off the evening with the gospel hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by The Ridgeliners at 7:30 and Mac Traynham and The Blueridge Mountaineers at 9:00.

If the weather cooperates, music will be on Locust Street Friday evening.

Over at Dogtown Roadhouse, The Toothe opens its musical set at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, Luke & Abby kick off The America Afternoon at the Floyd Country Store at noon, followed by folk singer/songwriter Karen Krajacic from Montpelier, Vermont, at 1:30 p.m.

Dave Fason & Friends hit the stage at Oak Grove Pavilion at 7:00 p.m.

The Comptons and Barry Sheridan Collins perform at Wildwood Farms Country Store on U.S. 221 near Midway at 7 p.m..

Train Wreck is at Pine Tavern’s pavilion at 8 p.m.

On Sunday, Ben Silcox hosts the Bluegrass Music Jam from 2:00 to 4:00 at The Floyd Country Store.

It’s the last weekend before Labor Day.  Let the music continue.

  1. Thanks Doug! The and friends with me at Oak Grove will be the rest of Windfall. Schedules opened up so we’re playing with special guest Bill Adams. Hope to see you while you make the rounds tomorrow night!!
