Floyd County High School’s Lady Buffaloes volleyball team kicked off the home season Tuesday night and took little time to dispatch Christiansburg in the opening sets.
The game opens a busy week in sports with more volleyball in Carroll County tonight and the home opener for the football Buffaloes against Galax Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
The school’s tennis team plays away at Giles Thursday night and at home against Auburn, Eastern Montgomery, Giles, Glenvar and Radford at Great Oaks Country Club starting at 2 p.m. on Monday.
Floyd County’s homecoming game will be early this year on next Friday against Patrick County.

Don’t forget the Cross Country meet in Giles this afternoon.
Thanks, Debbie…my thoughts exactly.
Thanks Debbie and Ron. I had checked the sports section of the FCHS site this morning but there was not schedule information on the cross-country events.
