George Wythe Maroons came to town Thursday for middle school and JV games against the Floyd County Buffaloes and the varsity heads for Wytheville Friday night.

In the middle school game, the Maroons put up 28 unanswered points before the Buffaloes added six late in the 4th quarter but failed on a two-point conversion.

The JV made it more interesting in the first half, with two scores on the clock but still trailed at the break.

I had to leave at the half and didn’t get the final score.
