
Floyd County cut the ribbon for its new, but currently unoccupied Innovation Center at the Commerce Park on Christiansburg Pike Monday, with a good gathering of local officials, a Congressman and others.
A planned “anchor tenant,” a bio-tech startup, bailed out of the Center and Floyd late last year, leaving the county Economic Development Authority (EDA) scrambling for new occupants.
Lydeanna Martin, Floyd County’s economic development director, and EDA chairman Jack Russell say they are in discussion with tentative tenants and hope for others.
